Oven
1. Preheat oven and oven tray to 230°C (210°C fan forced) for 10 minutes.
2. Spread frozen McCAIN HASH BROWNS in a SINGLE LAYER on the preheated tray. Best results are achieved if McCAIN HASH BROWNS are well spaced on the tray.
3. Bake in oven for 10 minutes, turn and continue heating for a further 5 - 10 minutes.
NOTE: Cooking times vary from oven to oven. Adjust the cooking times to suit your oven and your preferences.
Deep Fry
Preheat vegetable oil to 175°C (350°F).
Fry frozen McCAINHASH BROWNS for 2 - 3 minutes, making sure they do not lie on top of each other.
Shake basket to remove excess oil.
Place on absorbent paper if desired.
When cooking smaller amounts, reduce cooking time.
Grill
Preheat grill at medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Spread frozen HASH BROWNS evenly over grill tray. Grill for 7 minutes. Turn occasionally to ensure even cooking. Allow to stand for two minutes.
Sandwich Press (flat surface)
Place 2 frozen McCAIN HASH BROWNS in a SINGLE LAYER on the Hot Sandwich Press. Ensure both sandwich press surfaces are in contact the HASH BROWNS. Heat for 3½ minutes.
COOK TO LIGHT GOLDEN COLOUR.
Watch carefully during the final minutes of preparation.
DO NOT OVERCOOK.
