Then, be sure to enter the code before 11.59 AEST on Sept. 30, 2010, to find out if you’re a winner.

If you are a lucky winner, you’ll find out instantly. You’ll be asked to provide your name and contact details and McCAIN will contact you soon after by telephone and in writing. If you’re not an instant winner, you can still win big! Just enter the unclaimed prize draw to win any unclaimed prizes at the end of the promotional period.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  2. This promotion is open to residents of Australia & New Zealand who are 18 years and over and have a full and current valid driver’s licence issued in an Australian State or Territory (for Australian residents) or issued in New Zealand (for New Zealand residents). Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, its agencies and outlets/venues associated with this offer are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

  3. The promotion commences at 00:01 AEST on 01/07/10 and ends for purchases at close of business on 30/09/10. Claims for instant win prizes must be received by 23:59 AEST on 30/09/10 (promotional period).

  4. In order to enter, individuals must: (a) purchase a promotional pack of McCAIN Chicken Parmagiana, McCAIN Sweet Chilli Chicken Parmagiana, McCAIN Hawaiian Chicken Parmagiana, McCAIN Veal Cordon Bleu, McCAIN Roast Chicken, McCAIN Roast Lamb, McCAIN Lamb Cutlet with Gravy; and (b) visit www.mccain.com.au/mccainadventures, input the unique code from inside the promotion pack and submit. Entrants will be notified immediately on-screen if they are an instant winner or not. If an entrant is a winner they will be prompted to input their personal details including their full name, email address, date of birth and contact number and submit during the promotional period. If an entrant has not won a prize, they will also be prompted to enter their personal details and submit to go into the unclaimed prize draw. Each promotional unique code is only valid for one entry into the promotion.

  5. Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry permitted per specified purchase requirement; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.

  6. Entrants must retain a copy of their purchase receipt(s) and promotional pack(s) for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all entries when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of an entrant’s entries and forfeiture of any right to a prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the promotional period and prior to entry.

  7. Each of the 10 major prizes will be randomly assigned to ten (10) unique codes which will be randomly seeded amongst all of the unique codes available on promotional packs for distribution across Australia & New Zealand. If a unique code entered exactly matches one of the ten (10) winning unique codes, an entrant, subject to verification, will win the major prize allocated to that unique code. If an entrant is a winner of a major prize, they will see a message onscreen informing them that they are a winner, which major prize they have won, and they will be provided with instructions on how to claim their prize.

  8. Major Prizes

    There will be 10 major prizes available. Winners will receive the prize packages as set out below:

    1. Winner will be required to drive the houseboat.       The total prize value is up to RRP $5,600.00 AUD, depending on date and point of departure. If the winner resides in Western Australia, the prize does not include airfares, and the airfare component of the prize is not redeemable for cash.

  9. Each Aussie or Kiwi Adventure prize is valued to a maximum of $5,600.00 AUD (including GST). Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices and are correct as of 21 March 2010. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any change in the prize values between now and the ultimate travel date. Unless expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, all other expenses become the responsibility of the winners. The winners (and their companions) are responsible for all expenses other than that specified, including but not limited to spending money, transfers, meals, drinks, incidentals, mini-bar, items of a personal nature, laundry, room-service, telephone calls, activities, insurance (including insurance excesses), taxes (including departure and fuel levy taxes), energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Taxes and fuel levies may vary at any time prior to ticketing. Travel insurance is the responsibility of the winners and their companions. The Promoter is not liable for any costs incurred if the winners or their companion travels without insurance. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winners at check-in to hotels, for all incidental charges. The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Travel arrangements to and from the departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winners and their companions. Frequent flyer points will also not form part of the prize. All travel must be completed by 30th September 2011, unless dates are changed by the Promoter. The accommodation type offered for each prize as specified in these terms & conditions must be taken in consecutive nights' stay.

  10. Each Aussie or Kiwi adventure holiday prize is valid for travel between 30th September 2010 and 30th September 2011 only. All travel is subject to booking and flight availability at all times and may be dependent on availability of economy airfares or specific room category availability with accommodation partner. Block out period includes special event periods, Australian public holiday long weekends together with 10th December 2010 until the 15th January 2011. All bookings and documentation regarding the prize must be made via the Promoter’s nominated travel agent.

  11. Winner may be required to present credit card and pay a security deposit at time of picking up hire-car.

  12. The winner and his/her companion are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any requisite visas, vaccinations and travel documentation.

  13. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in agreement with the winner but in the event that agreement cannot be reached, the Promoter reserves the right to determine the itinerary. Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers.

  14. Minor Prizes

    There are also 35 x cash prizes to be won instantly, comprising of 10 x $250 AUD cash prizes and 25 x $100 AUD cash prizes. Each of the cash prizes will be randomly assigned to 35 Unique Codes which will be randomly seeded amongst the unique codes available on participating promotional packs for distribution across Australia & New Zealand. If the unique code an individual enters exactly matches one of the 35 winning unique codes, an entrant will win the cash prize allocated to that unique code. If an entrant is a winner of a cash prize, they will see a message onscreen informing them that they are a winner and the amount of money they have won, with instructions on how to claim the prize. The cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque, made out to the name and sent to the address provided by the winner online at the time of being notified online of winning the cash prize.

  15. The total prize pool is valued at up to $61,000 AUD (inc GST).

  16. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  17. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. By entering this promotion, the entrant agrees and acknowledges that the promoter retains the rights, title and interest (including copyright) in any images or sound or video recordings obtained by the Promoter in accordance with this term, and unconditionally consents to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any of the entrant's moral rights in such images or sound or video recordings (as defined in Part IX of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)).

  18. All winners will be notified immediately in writing upon entering in their unique codes from pack online at www.mccain.com.au/mccainadventures. All winners will also be contacted by telephone and in writing. Winners of prizes over $250 AUD will have their name and postcode published in The Australian on 05/10/2010. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.

  19. The Promoter may require the winner and their companions to provide proof or purchase, proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter's discretion.

  20. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and, apart from the cash prize, cannot be redeemed for cash, unless otherwise specified. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. Where a prize, or an element of a prize, is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize, or element of that prize, another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required.

  21. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

  22. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.

  23. Each winner is responsible for any amendments fees issued by airlines or suppliers once booking is confirmed and ticketed.

  24. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

  25. In the event any prizes are not accepted or claimed by 1pm AEST on 2/11/10, an unclaimed prize draw will take place. Entrants who have won a prize and entrants who have not won a prize but have inputted their personal details at the time of entry will be entered into the unclaimed prize draw. This unclaimed draw is to be held on 2/11/10 at 2.00pm at BADJAR Ogilvy, Level 12, 380 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne, VIC, 3004. Winners will be notified within 2 working days by phone and email. Winners of unclaimed prizes over $250 AUD will have their name and postcode published in The Australian on 15/11/10.

  26. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.

  27. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes not received as a result of technical malfunction.

  28. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control) including any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries; (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) due to the publication of any material, including any statements made by any staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; or (f) use of/participation in a prize.

  29. If, for any reason, this promotion is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to : (a) disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available; and/or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, as appropriate.

  30. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority, cancel the promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.

  31. Printing and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim.

  32. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions, all prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured. Any instant win prizes that are part of the advertised total prize pool will be awarded in the unclaimed prize draw.

  33. There will be a total of 1,571,360 McCain promotional packaging (containing a unique code) printed for this promotion.

  34. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

  35. In no event shall the Promoter, or any of its subsidiary companies or its respective officers, employees, agents, contractors or agents (together Company and Staff) be liable for any loss, damage, claim, expense, cost or liability arising from, or relating to, a winner's and his/her companion's participation in any activities the subject of any prize.
